Artwork title : Recomposition No. 16 | 2024

Recomposition No. 16 poignantly reflects the ever-changing urban landscape surrounding Oculus. It captures the city's journey from distress to optimism, symbolizing destruction and reconstruction. My inspiration for this piece was drawn from the emerging cityscape, particularly the Perelman Performing Arts Center construction.

I witnessed the tragic event and the site's transformation from a tranquil memorial to a vibrant social space with gardens and performance venues. The artwork presents an abstract representation of this dynamic space, resembling a peaceful, fluid garden with graceful curves and motion.

Recomposition No. 16 combines photographs, digital painting, and geometric forms. It will be produced in a limited edition of five on archival pigment paper.
