English Version

Fluid Boundary

Fluid Boundary is not a static object, but a frozen process of fluidity. This solidified ink, suspended above a cold light, is a physical entity formed through the self-contraction and condensation of ink and time as they intertwine under the forces of gravity and humidity. It requires no intervention of language, for every wrinkle on its surface and every protrusion of its texture serves as a temporal code left behind by the liquid during the process of evaporation. This embodies what the curatorial statement describes as letting the material speak for itself, recording not an event but the reverberation of memory.

In this space, cold light is no longer a tool for illumination but a sharp interface that defines the edge between matter and void. The light penetrates and upholds this fragment, which appears simultaneously heavy and weightless, creating a non-semantic boundary. Within this threshold, the viewer’s gaze cannot capture a definitive symbolic meaning; instead, one can only sense the minute field tensioned between the not-yet-stable and the already-solidified. As the viewer moves, the way light and shadow inhabit the folds shifts accordingly. Looking thus transforms into a materialistic operation. What you face is not an image, but a state of existence constructed by time, light, and dried ink that defies definition.
