Recovered letters, traces of words, signs of a communication interrupted or never completed, are compressed under the real weight of a brick.
The matter – cocciopesto, sodium hydroxide, cyanotype – acts on the surface as a corrosive agent, evoking the action of time, of memory that fades or crystallizes.

The work stages the tension between what seeks to emerge (the memory, the word, the mark) and what oppresses it, holds it back, or buries it. Here, weight is not only physical but symbolic: an obstacle pressing upon the possibility of remembering, of expressing, of letting out.

Lettere ritrovate, tracce di parole, segni di una comunicazione interrotta o mai completata, vengono compresse sotto il peso reale di un mattone.
La materia – cocciopesto, idrossido di sodio, cianotipia – agisce sulla superficie come un agente corrosivo, evocando l’azione del tempo, della memoria che scolora o si cristallizza.
L’opera mette in scena la tensione tra ciò che vuole emergere (il ricordo, la parola, il segno) e ciò che lo opprime, lo trattiene o lo seppellisce. Il peso, qui, non è solo fisico, ma simbolico: un ostacolo che grava sulla possibilità di ricordare, di esprimere, di lasciar uscire.
