The person's lips are worked out with blood-red candle wax. The wick nails that are melted into the candle wax indicate the inner pain of the eating disorder.

There is plastic yarn on the head of the person, which should represent my thoughts revolving around the topic of food.

With backlighting, the painting changes a lot. The lighting shows the traces of wax in the image and cast shadows on the face of the person - through which the illusion is visualized.
