This painting is an interpretation of a portrait.  A portrait called the portrait of desire.

It is a place of all paradoxes, it is the place where the moral and social portrait is embodied and the envelope which imprisons soul and spirit.

Desire is the interface between the factor of innovation and the regenerator of chaos.
