70x70 cm, oil pastels and acrylic on canvas with 3,5 cm edges, that are also painted. We use Heart in a metaphorical way to describe our feelings: “listen to you heart”, “eat your heart out”, “have a heart”. A heart could be stolen, broken or followed... We “heart” something that we like on social media. It is probably the most objectified organ of the human body, yet the heart is real, we all have one. The true shape of it is much more complex and exciting, than it’s symbolic representation. As are our true feelings. In this work I’ve expressed mine of being alone for 3 months during the lockdown in Italy.
