Our sense of smell is the strongest of our senses, having a direct link to two major areas in the brain involved in emotion and memory. Scent can always trigger my emotional response, which usually involves and one other factor – visualization. This work represent the visualization of a specific fragrance/scent from my fragrance collection. I tried to define a visual entity through personal olfactory experience, by combining mixed classical and digital techniques and media. In each phase of this work, I wore the same perfume. This work represents the visualization of my inner response to olfactory art and my attempt to give the exact fragrance a visual character. The main idea of presentation of these works is to make connection between olfactory and visual art (by smelling the scent and seeing/observing the digital graphic). Experiences become more unique when multiple senses are involved. The fragrance is Under my Skin, by Francesca Bianchi.
