A tribute to Motherhood 

Women working on the construction sites is a very common sight in India. I grew up seeing these mothers with infants living a hard life as a construction site labor. I have always been  mesmerized by the strength of these mothers working so hard for the livelihood. I always wanted to recognize this workforce, complimenting their vigor and hard work through my art. This portrait of a mother who took break for feeding her infant and having her food at the same time, sitting at the most unhygienic place near the pile of bricks, is a salute to her who in spite of hardships of life, has a pleasant smile on her face. The glow of the motherhood, the happiness, and satisfaction of feeding her baby so outweigh the hardships that she faces in her everyday life. This portrait is dedicated to the motherhood, which is always most compassionate, loving, caring, happy, and selfless. A true recognition for their prominent contribution to the soceity and towards the nation, which often goes unnoticed.
