I wish to create sculptures "that interact with the viewers and the environment."
In my creative process, I constantly strive for an expression that allows for a deep interaction with the viewers and the environment. Sculptures are not merely static objects but are mediums capable of stimulating the viewers' imagination and guiding them into a multidimensional space-time. I try to convey the subtle relationship between time and space through the form and existence of the object, thus evoking emotional resonance and reflection in the viewer.
My inspiration comes from imagining the existence of living beings in the natural environment. I imagine infusing my own breath and thoughts into my works, letting them flow freely. I attempt to transform this flow into lines that appear in my works. These lines are both the strokes of my thoughts and bridges of communication with the viewers, representing not only the vitality of organisms but also the projection of emotions and ideas.
In my creative process, "cutting" and "displacement" are techniques I frequently use. Through cutting, I try to break the original integrity, allowing viewers to see more layers and details. This is not limited to the deconstruction of the sculptural form but also offers an overlapping imagination of time and space for the development of the form. By merging the sculptural form with the viewer's imagination, creation is no longer bound by physical constraints. Viewers can thus discover the richness of different times and spaces through the works, jointly constructing a captivating artistic experience.
