Paesaggi Surreali

Fotografare il paesaggio con gli occhi della metafisica e del surrealismo - attraverso la distorsione delle forme prodotta dal riflesso di cofani di automobili e superfici specchianti –  portando con me reminiscenze delle lezioni di Antoni Gaudì e Salvator Dalì, mescolate alle forti suggestioni della visione onirica di Niki de Saint Phalle e dei piani traslati o specchianti di Francis Bacon e Michelangelo Pistoletto. Questo è lo scopo del progetto “Paesaggi Surreali”. Un progetto nato sulle terre e nelle città italiane.

E’ un ritorno sui luoghi in cui noi italiani siamo cresciuti, densi della nostra cultura classica e della nostra arte rinascimentale e barocca, cercando però di immergermi in essi in modo personale, originale e pittorico, per penetrarne lo spirito più a fondo. E’ un modo per indagare e suggerire le trasformazioni, i progressi, le difficoltà e le ansie della nostra civiltà. Il paesaggio si trasforma in sogno e, come nella psicanalisi, attraverso il sogno racconta a noi stessi e agli altri le emozioni più profonde.

Surreal Landscapes

Photographing the landscape through the eyes of metaphysics and surrealism, taking with me memories of the lessons of Antoni Gaudi and Salvador Dali mixed with the strong emotions of the dream vision of Niki de Saint Phalle and plans shifted or mirrored by Francis Bacon and Michelangelo Pistoletto. This is the purpose of the project “Surreal Landscapes”. A project born on the land and in Italian cities. It's a return to the places where we Italians are grown, full of our culture and of our classical Renaissance and Baroque art, but trying to immerse myself in them in a more personal way, to penetrate deeper into the spirit. But it is also something more. It 's a way to investigate and suggest - through the distortion of the shapes produced by the reflection of the mirror surfaces, and (sometimes) the handling of paint colors - the transformations, progress, difficulties and anxieties of our civilization. The landscape is transformed in a dream and, as in psychoanalysis, through the dream it tells to ourselves and to others the deepest emotions.
