The search for a piece of paradise is inherent in each of us. My tree series, which also includes the beauty of flowering trees, describes in the broadest sense the attempt to make trees visible as personalities. I am concerned with a simplicity that seems almost striking but has a complexity in painting inherent. 

The statement is simple: to be allowed to perceive beauty without succumbing to realism.
