The balance of movemnt and tonal brushmarks inform are halmarks of the artist's process using wheels to paint.  Over 15 years a new direction in modern painitng has grown from the experimental art of Jean Cherouny.  Colors are applied first by skating on the paper or canvas, then using hand tools crafted for fast moving or rolling brush strokes the painting takes it's form.  Vibrant colors are a romantic layering system or vehicle for active expression.  The result are dynamically painted abstractions that welcome lively energy and thought.
