Title:106. (One picture per day.)

During the blockade of the University of Fine Arts in Linz because of covid, (a period of home isolation for all Austrian people), I painted a picture a day between March 11 and June 24, 2020. These pictures show different things: my daily routine, news, jokes, feelings about what is happening every day. When I received an email from the university administration saying that face-to-face classes would be stopped until further notice. I thought about how I could take advantage of the situation in a positive way. Because of the time I spent at my desk each day and the constant view from the same angle outside my window, I got the idea to document the monotony of my life. What perceptible changes could I find in the always the same parts of the day?

(In my drawings, I documented supermarkets sending out masks; supermarket employees standing at the door to disinfect shopping carts; embassies offering me supplies for epidemic prevention; people on the Internet actively participating in various online challenges, etc... all of these are signs of solidarity in the face of the epidemic).
