Artwork title : Reverie

When the US was divided into north and south over slavery, wouldn’t the slaves in the south have felt resentful and miserable as if they were trapped inside of a small fishbowl? But I also believe that it was the hope that was seen little by little from the north that kept the southern slaves swimming and alive in the narrow suffocating fish bowl. Blue Iris symbolize faith and hope.
