From the mysterious depths of sky-hung shadowy forms, sprouts forth delicate mists and falling crystal strings of light, flashing blue-red-gold in the bursts of dazzling early morning rays. The gentle music of tones, playfully splashing their tumble from pool to cool-shadowed eddy, drift off the cliffs to swirl a delighted air dance as they drift idly towards their curtain call miles below and far away. Ancient Chinese Taoist philosophy emphasizes how insignificant humans are in the large scheme of nature and the cosmos; and the Chinese Shan shui painters of landscapes painted not what they saw in nature but rather what they thought about in nature.
