Artwork title : Celestial "Qi"

This artwork is a blend of Chinese ink techniques and “Xie Yi” concept , with the Western abstract expressionism, where the splattering of paints takes center stage, echoing the unseen but profoundly felt energy, or "Qi" (), that courses through the essence of the celestial creature. The canvas becomes a cosmic tapestry, interwoven with the harmonious marriage of intricacy and fluidity, control and spontaneity, stability and precariousness, and balance and chaos. The amalgamation of techniques symbolizes the delicate interplay between reality and imagination, where the brushstrokes evoke the unseen energies of ancient celestial dragons.

I seek to explore this process through meditative and performative experiences as I create gestural move on the canvas, focuses on conveying the essence of the dragon than its form.As the paint splatters across the canvas, it mirrors the distant hues of the vast cosmic space above. Each droplet is a brushstroke in the celestial symphony, embodying the light years that separate us from these mythical beings while acknowledging their enduring presence within us and the spaces we inhabit.

The artwork invites viewers to contemplate the interconnectedness between the mythical and the tangible, as the abstract expressionistic strokes become a conduit for the celestial energies that surround us. The painting is a serene yet dynamic ode to the unseen forces that resonate within and beyond, encapsulating the spirit of the Oriental dragon in a harmonious fusion of Eastern tradition and Western abstraction.
