Gaze, 2023, is a self-portrait created by superimposing the cut-out entire of a male’s eyes on the female body( myself). I aimed to interrupt the audience’s viewing experience. The eyes of the male look directly at the viewer as a confrontation, while the female(myself) avoids eye contact with the audience but looks at her own body, and gazes at the male’s eyes.
