Artwork title : The Elusive Elysium - 流转不定的归宿
This artwork demonstrates the liquidity in modernity and expresses a concern for a future that lacks stability and common space. Based on the transformation of Christ the Saviour Church over the past hundred years and Zygment Bauman's theories on liquid modernity, it combines the Soviet Palace and the Church of the Saviour. Inside, the extensive winding staircase is a metaphor for a cyclical history and culture, and the building's facade is transparent, revealing a fluid illusion. It is an irony: in the most solid of buildings, we find the most liquid of historical homes.
