Artwork title : The Gates

In this photograph of a architectural series I captured an old disheveled synagogue in Tel Aviv.

The shape of the building was always impressive, but time, lack of attention and the day to day fumes of the city, as well as its tempo made people look away.

My interest was in the question I often ask myself: Does a good construction plan with depth and heart will always be alive if you know how to look at it? Does it come along with this place being a place of faith, or is it just a well designed structure.

I keep asking myself this question looking at my own photography, especially in an age where people believe all and yet believe in nothing.

Sometimes it takes a quiet moment, a subtle gaze to find peace as well as beauty.
