Description:

The work with the title “Source of Life“, shows a series that refers primarily to the natural and important resource of water. The paintings themselves refer to the areas of ecology and sustainability. The use of ink is to be understood as a methodical concept because the ink in its normal state has a similar liquid consistency as water. The format 50cm x 60cm is a multiple of my palm (10cm x 20cm). Symbolically this means that the handling of the resource water is set in our hands. That means, we largely decide how we can use the resource, etc...

My work shows an abstract-surrealistic structure from the animal and plant world as a sample. In the foreground of the image, is a bird-like creature with a body, head, beak, and eye. In addition, you can see a flower, which has already formed leaves and fruits.
Both main elements bird and flower, are connected to each other and are set in the water. The water itself is painted as a blue organic surface. This can be a source, a (lake) or a (pond).
The painting itself describes a magical-metaphysical atmosphere and presents a snapshot of a certain, sensual emotional state in the plant and animal world with the inclusion of the important factor of water.

The natural resource water is the original source of life –for plants, for animals, and also for humans–. Only with the help of water, the process of photosynthesis is made to be possible for the plant world, which is accompanied by permanent growth, regeneration, and constant fertility.
A goal of this work with the title: “The Source of Life“ is a more conscious appreciation of the natural, important, and free resource of water as well as the execution of more careful handling of the valuable property. For the animal world, water offers not only habitat but is also the main factor for their survival. Without water, there is no life!
Also for humans, water as a natural resource can not be removed from everyday life. Brushing our teeth, making coffee, showering and drinking are just a few examples of activities in which we do need water.
Another focus of this work which directly derives from the above-mentioned is based on the area of sustainability, especially with the growth indicator of water. Water should also be preserved as an available resource for future generations (plant, animal, and human).

In which activities can the natural resource water be saved? In which areas can water be efficiently converted into renewable energy, and how; etc...?
