Hakoniwa (Boxed Garden) refers to miniature gardens popular in Japan during the Edo period, but in modern times, it's used in sandplay therapy, an expressive therapy that promotes psychological stability and growth.

 

For someone like me, who struggles to explain things in words and prefers to express them through art, this Hakoniwa is like a raw, unadorned manifestation of my own mind.
