Description
At the Edge of Belonging reflects on one of the deepest tensions of contemporary life: the desire to remain oneself while still finding a place within a shared world. Through a restrained geometric language, the work creates a field of relation shaped by distance, interruption, balance, and approach. Nothing is narrated, yet everything suggests presence: forms hold their own ground, resist fusion, and still enter into coexistence.

The image proposes belonging not as comfort, certainty, or sentiment, but as a fragile threshold — a condition that must be made, protected, and renewed. In this suspended space, separation does not disappear, but neither does the possibility of connection. Part of the series Common Ground, the work uses abstraction as a human language: quiet yet exacting, minimal yet emotionally charged. It invites the viewer to contemplate the delicate structures that allow proximity, dignity, and shared life to emerge.
