Artwork title : Inkform Series : Tensioned Serenity

I transform the expressive movement and spirit of Chinese ink painting into three-dimensional metal structures, allowing rigid materials to convey rhythm and breath. Through fragmented and layered stainless steel forms, I explore the interplay between structure and motion. The layered metal plates create dynamic, almost organic silhouettes, suggesting a figure emerging from movement while remaining abstract and open, inviting multiple interpretations.

Sharp structural edges and flowing lines coexist, balancing movement with stillness, energy with restraint. The polished stainless steel surface further enhances the sculpture’s presence in space. Light interacts with the fragmented planes, producing shifting highlights and shadows as viewers move around the work. This interplay between solidity and reflection enriches the visual complexity of the sculpture and deepens its dialogue with the surrounding environment.

The combination of structural tension and visual lightness gives the piece a compelling presence. The viewer experiences it not merely as an object, but as a moment of movement crystallized in steel.
