Technique: Relief outliners and glass paints on 3 mirrors
"The fourth wall" is a triptych of painted mirrors that blurs the boundary between image and observer. Painted with relief outliners and glass paints, the three panels share a common visual rhythm — a dialogue of curves, geometric shapes, and reflective segments that shift between presence and absence. Across the composition, forms alternate between being defined by color and by its removal, as painted surfaces give way to exposed mirror. This play of positive and negative space creates a continuous flow between the panels, uniting them in a single, unfolding motion. Alluding to the theatrical “fourth wall,” the work invites viewers to recognize their reflection within the abstract geometry, becoming both audience and participant in a scene that dissolves the distance between seeing and being seen.
