Womanhood

Womanhood explores the delicate relationship between strength and vulnerability, freedom and confinement, and the quiet tension between what we reveal and what we keep hidden.

Through an intuitive process of layering acrylic, paper, sewing thread, earth and unconventional materials, the painting becomes a meeting of contrasts. Fragile surfaces encounter rough textures, while threads and overlapping materials create a sense of connection, restriction and the desire to break free. There is beauty in fragility, but also a certain power in allowing it to be seen. In taking up space, finding a voice and daring to be heard.

The work is an exploration of womanhood in all its contradictions. Not something fixed or perfectly defined, but something layered, evolving, wonderfully complex and unapologetically alive.
