Artwork title : Toronto at night

Each city I visit has such a strong vibe that I am always looking for a method to capture it in a painting. In this case, I'm attempting to represent the essence and strength of a city, Toronto. I can't just make a pretty static skyline of it; I need to discover the perfect reflections of the buildings and combine them all into a beautiful image. I'd like to capture the rhythm of a city, its vibe and energy. I enjoy recreating the dual identities of a city in my skylines, night and reflexions, and the iridescent colours I employ come to life depending on how you look at the painting. My city must come to life and pulse through the canvas.
