Mixed media on canvas 2021 The focus of this painting is "trauma," and how it consumes a person's mind and body. With a focus use of green, the canvas is was in viridian with drips of gold detailing. As all colours green has a variety of meanings that are quite contradictory of eachother. This painting embodies two of those contradictions: the purity of youth and poison. This exception tells the story of a poisoned youth trying to grow, yet is held down by her past. Her mind s a void, numb from the experiences that made her grow up too fast. Roses grow around her, a flower commonly gifted to love one's. A less thought of yet still common use for roses are at funerals. The faceless girl is consumed by her demons, roses marking her resting place.
