Artwork title : Desde Mar Y Tierra

Desde Mar Y Tierra is an abstract sculpture made from a single piece of wood. It measures 66cm in height.  The title references the idea of transcending origin to synthesize a new reality.  Beginning its existence on land as part of a tree, it eventually broke off and landed in the ocean before arriving at my studio. It now retains structural aspects of its terrestrial beginnings, but it has also taken on streamlined qualities associated with life from the sea. It is, now, from sea AND land, and it is so completely without contradiction.
