Artwork title : A Heart from Firenze Presented to the Tin Man

The figure on the painting is the Tin Man from The Wizard of OZ, which is re-created from the picture taken by Kevin Kidney in 1985 in South California. Tin Man is a woodman without a heart. In my work, I present him a heart in my special way, which, crystallized by the spark of the digital age, brightens the Tin Man. The digital sparkle creates a cycle that leads one from vivid memories to creation and recreation, from virtual to real, and from real to virtual. The creation is a echos Segal’s statement: All art is in its nature symbolism, and art is the symbolic representation of the artist’s imaginative life.
