Artwork title : Winters Light , Hunters Point

Much of my work centers around my personal experieces of  the rapidly changing landscape around my studio in San Francisco. this print represents one of the many historic buildings being torn down to make way for the gentrification of a tradinially blue collar neighbourhood. 

.The choice to print on a lightweight Japanese paper was made specifically in order to create a tension between the physical weight of the structure, emphasized by the areas of  dark, heavy ink, and the weightlessness of the paper, which emphasis the ultimate fragility of the built environment.
