As a Hong Kong based contemporary ink artist dedicated in exploring new media and techniques, I like to explore the possibilities of employing unique artistic themes and subjects, in particular feathers, as I have a fond passion of them. 

 

I draw my inspirations of “Ballet Dance” series from the Ballet “Swan Lake”. In this series, white and pure feathers fly and float in simulated dark setting of stage, and sometimes displayed against a fur backdrop, portraying the soft and beautiful dancing steps in an alternative visual vocabulary. “Ballet Dance” is a perfect representation of my artistic manipulation of feathers which brings a sense of lightness, seductive power, aesthetic and freedom. When combined with the distinctive texture of leather, a carrier of memories in life, it exudes a classy and sophisticated appeal.
