Artwork title : The Gift Box

This piece depicts the night scene of Dumbo. This glass pavilion stands aside by the East River, but in this painting, I made the river go all the way around it. The shape of this pavilion looks like a gift box in the city. I distorted the view and arranged the skyline of Manhattan around the other side of riverbank. The night view of New York City is very charming. The reshape and distortion of buildings made them look alive. And this is how I imagine the city. Not dead concrete but living alive.
