Reduction cooled stoneware fired four days in an anagama kiln. Shino glaze and natural atmospheric ash glaze from burning wood. 2021.

I look most intently at the darkness and try to make sense of it in my work. My ADTHAO figures are an expression of anguish that comes from suffering restraint and  imprisonment. Seizing those periods of emotional and physical confinement and constructing them into something beautiful carries tremendous healing.
