Cristina Jobs Spain Sculpture

Artwork title : The Bubble

In a world with more screens than windows, looking into your eyes is on its way to becoming a revolutionary act.

This work, following the creative line of Cristina Jobs, is based on the need for social change, using hyperrealistic sculpture as a tool to create sensations and emotions. We are faced with a generation of digital natives fed with dopamine, at the service of the manipulation of ideas and persuasion by social engineering.

This work questions the following question: What is the reason for this interest in shortening the frontal cortex in developing brains, through overstimulation, blocking control of frustration?

Those who design increasingly addictive children’s apps keep their children out of them, taking them to schools where ICT virtually doesn’t come in. It is quite clear that this system is used as the new opium for the current and future society.

By observing the work, and analyzing its content, we realize that we are creating a generation of automatons chained to a screen, with more and more problems of socialization, concentration and hyper-sexualization, and consequently fragile, vulnerable, frustrated and self-esteem children.

It is estimated that following this rate of technology consumption, in 10 years we will have a weapon to bend the will.
can the interests of large companies have sneaked into progress for our children?

This work vindicates the need for social change from the education of our children, helping them to form their personality, ideas and preferences based on their own being, without the rigid mass manipulation to which we are subjecting them.

Only by leading them as free human beings can they find the balance for coexistence with technology.
