Artwork title : Umbra Vivendi

Umbra Vivendi is the first of a series of five paintings, and is paired with its vertical counterpart, Finisterrae.

The two paintings explore the valence of the complementarity between green and red, as a metaphor for the complementaity of life and death, Eros and Thanatos.
Archaetipical shapes and colors paint the landscape of the artist's psyche, in an effort to convey and exchange an emotion.
