Italian painter Silvia Mineo, aka Betty___Lou___, changes the course of modern art by developing an innovative method of visualizing and painting portraits.

Resonating with the Expressionism and Symbolism, as well as the language of Realism art painting, Betty___Lou___’s “hanging lives” consist of limited and thoughtful acrylic brush strokes and spatula works on canvas––often poetic and graceful and at times unfinished–– portraying garments and clothing accessories, which hang in an uncanny, perfect balance.

Betty___Lou___ devotes herself to portray people resorting to those hanging-somewhere clothes and accessories that better represent and embody the portrayed owner.
