Decorative sculpture made of ceramics
Material: clay
The sculptures were inspired by the work of the Polish painter Tadeusz Makowski
and also the current political and social situation in Poland. Tadeusz Makowski,
was presenting children in the form of theatrical puppets, he created
a vision of a grotesque reality. The sculptures "Music I" and "Music II" present
a modern man living in a country full of limitations. It would seem
that sculptures are singing in a happy way. However the mouth structure (screw nut) symbolizes the society silenced by the authorities. A society that tries to defend one of its absolutely fundamental values, which is freedom.
"Music I" and "Music II" reflect the tension that were made at the creative process that music should give, and a reality full of pain what young people have to face.
