Lara Vaienti Italy Other

The subject is the slow but gradual sinking  and decaying of the city of Venice and its lagoon. Its precariousness and frailty due to the climatic change but also to the aggressive disregard and abuse the city has been receiving constantly from a ravaging, often out of control tourism en masse (pre Covid of course). It also references Italo Calvino's writing titled "Disappearing Cities". Here I'm showing part of the installation as a photo work that can stand on its own if considered under the photograpy section. Viewers can interact  otherwise with the floating piece if presented  as an installation. This installation presents a graphic design piece photographed (photographed in stagnat water.)
