Ink on paper - 90 X 90 cm - My work is based on signs. For me, signs do represent some kind of a matchmaker between writing and abstraction.  Throughout the years I have gathered a collection of signs that I call “my alphabet”. Sometimes the origin of these signs come from old alphabets (Chinese,  African, Mesopotamian and other) sometimes I found them on poteries, sculptures or pieces of ceramic. The final result is an assembly of signs and colors to which I then add a title. The title is another element added to the construction in order to help stimulate the imagination of the viewer.
