Layan Al Ali Kuwait Painting

Poseidon is the name of the Greek god of the sea and water in general, My painting was not only inspired by him but inspired by Atlantis and the ocean itself, I was also inspired by the movement of the water and the flow of liquid, it has a feel of mythology to it, it resembles some sort of Atlantic, aquatic creature- harshness towards the centre and sharpness at the top left area near the 'head' the sides flow smoothly like wings creating small cells and intensity, radiant gold pokes through making it powerful and eye-catching. It is shadowy towards the centre full of depth, I included different shades of saturated blue and a smooth glossy white. I used the Dutch pour technique whilst adjusting it slightly during the process. It pulls the depths and distances of different parts of the ocean tying this abstract acrylic painting together. I love flow art because it's organic, you can create anything and everything, just think outside the box and add your style and creativity.
