Layan Al Ali Kuwait Painting

This acrylic painting was heavily inspired by fire, fire in general, whatever fire means to you, to me this reminds me of a forest fire, I don't like wildfires like most people, they kill so many precious animals, it's very deppressing, I wanted to turn something that upset me into art, fires are life threatning, my goal here was to make something that scared most people into something dazzling, I wanted to bring out the beauty in fires and their unique colors. I chose the name 'Kai' because it means 'fire' in Scottish, I wanted to use a beautiful historical language to represent the beauty in the fire. I used a fluorescent green overlaying the dusty black, the green represents forests, I used saturated fiaming colors for the fire, orange, red yellow all swirled together with a glossy gold color coming through to create an organic, unique, abstract painting. Here I used flow art, I love this technique as you can play around, you have no set guidlines or rules and you can ulter the technique all the time.
