In this painting, I hint at the idea of foreboding, the possibility of extending the present to the next moment with vine-like strokes. Also, I use short, fragmented brush-strokes to break up lines into specks and dots, enhancing the overall ‘flowing’ effect of the image. In between the past and the present, I capture in the moment the portrait of a capsized city.
Indigo is the main colour used in the painting, with varying shades of rose-red and blue used to add additional layers and tensions into the painting.
