Chiaroscuro Woodcut. 11"x14". 2017.
This print examines the anxiety of mothers and families everywhere with the climate of hate and unrest in our country around the world. I made this print when I found out I was pregnant with my son. Afraid by the gassing of syrian children, the hatred that Trump spewing daily in America, the Native American's being harmed by authority figures while trying to keep their sacred land from desecration for a new oil pipeline, and Flint, Michigan, still fighting for clean water.
