"Spring Forest" is a 30x20 cm weaving which resembles a forest during springtime when it is bloomed at the fullest with many small flowers encircled by velvet borders, ribbon and wool.

Inside the bulky circle you can imagine a meadow with yellow sunflowers, a fantastic place that invites the viewer to wander, to explore in order to find his or her own peaceful sanctuary. Evenmore, you can dream about reaching the end of a tunnel made by tree crowns where you can find an amazing view of a dusk, a dawn or even a beach with golden sand, grey rocks and warm sunlight. It can also be imagined as a teenage girl's hair, jumping barefeet around a forest glade with a dandelion crown on her head, tied up with falling braids. The background has small sewn loops which remind of stars or birds flying around in circles emphasizing freedom, life and peace, as well as the preponderent green color. The thorny branch at the bottom suggests that the place buried deep inside our soul is safeguarded and indestructible.

This particular textile artwork is the beginning of the "Seasons" project that has the purpose to put memories into fiber. An artwork for each season this year which depicts the image of a place and revives the memory of a lifetime.
